Reef Reverie

Reef Reverie exhibits a body of poetic jewelry works designed and delivered by Mona Jewelry during the pandemic, in an attempt to answer a philosophical question: what can be deemed as essential and held unchanged in the ephemerality of life? Inspired by the poems of Kahlil Gibran, Mona Jewelry dives deep into its brand heritage of oceanic aesthetics and answers the question with two new series - Sand and Foam and Basket of Life. The exhibition features the latest series along with selected pieces from previous collections, including Mona Jewelry’s most recognized collection The Waves, as a trace of the brand’s history and its ongoing celebration of life through a fascination with wondrous creations of nature.

Designer

Mona Jewelry label is founded in 2019 by New York-based Chinese designer Mona Liu. After working in Paris, France, she founded the namesake Jewelry label in New York City. Drawing inspiration from nature and poetry, Mona Liu designs timeless jewelry pieces that aspire to transcend the limitations of space and national boundaries.
