Unpopular Opinions

Unpopular Opinions opens at THE BLANC Gallery in New York City from June 22 to June 28, presented in partnership with the Arts Administration Program at Columbia University and curated by pylot studios. The exhibition challenges prevailing narratives and invites critical reflection through works that confront, question, or resist consensus. Bold, incisive, and unapologetically nuanced, Unpopular Opinions offers a space for discourse around perspectives often left at the margins.

Unpopular Opinions brings together a group of artists whose works explore the nuances of their cultural realities and the contentious world of social media. The exhibit showcases a range of mediums including paintings, sculptures, digital installations, and interactive experiences that invite viewers to engage with the personal, controversial, and the unconventional.

In today's digital age, media platforms have become the battlegrounds for public opinion, shaping and distorting our views on culture, politics, and identity. Unpopular Opinions aims to explore these dynamics, providing a space for reflection and dialogue on how our everyday interactions influence our real-world perceptions.
