Chords & Cocktails is a pop-up concert series presented by the Lyric Chamber Music Society of New York, designed to bring exceptional live music into unexpected spaces across the city. Hosted in co-working spaces, restaurants, galleries, and private residences, these events create intimate, vibrant settings where working professionals can unwind, discover new venues, meet like-minded guests, and experience the magic of live classical performance—all over drinks and conversation. With Lyric handling music curation, production, and atmosphere, hosts simply open their doors to beauty and community.
Artist Duo
Duo Brève is a flute and harp duo formed by Aimee Toner and Mia Venezia, dedicated to sharing thoughtfully curated programs that bridge genres, styles, and traditions. Since their first collaboration at a summer festival in Maine in 2021, the duo has performed throughout the Eastern Seaboard, headlining recital series in New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Georgia. They are featured artists on the Lyric Chamber Music Society of New York’s roster and bring a warm, lyrical presence to every performance space—from grand halls to intimate salons.
Philadelphia-based harpist Mia Venezia has performed with leading ensembles including the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony, and New World Symphony. She currently serves as principal harpist with both the Eastern Connecticut Symphony and the Johnstown Symphony, and teaches aspiring harpists through Harp Mastery.
Flutist Aimee Toner, currently on faculty at the University of Connecticut, balances a vibrant career in performance and education, having played with groups such as the New Amsterdam Opera and Glens Falls Symphony. Aimee is also a Haynes Young Artist and plays on a custom 10K Haynes flute. Together, Mia and Aimee bring an expressive, dynamic energy to the stage—offering music that speaks to tradition and innovation alike.
