THE BLANC is pleased to announce the opening of its Artist Studios, ten newly renovated spaces on the sixth floor of its historic Midtown building. One studio will be reserved for THE BLANC’s inaugural artist-in-residence program. The studios mark the first dedicated artist workspaces within the facility and continue THE BLANC’s mission of fostering an interdisciplinary artistic ecosystem.

Throughout March and April, the studio spaces will welcome the first cohort of ten artists, whose practices span a wide range of media including painting, sculpture, installation, textile, and new media. The studios range in size from 96 to 380 square feet, with monthly rents between $880 and $3,500. Most studios fall within the range of $900–$1,600, making rates competitive for the area and city. Each studio is designed for interdisciplinary work, featuring large windows for natural light, and flexible layouts. Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the studios will provide artists with proximity via central train lines to galleries and cultural institutions, and THE BLANC’s own exhibitions and public programs.

The Artist Studio and artist-in-residence initiative reflects THE BLANC’s commitment to providing a space for artistic experimentation in Midtown that fosters sustained production and dialogue. By situating studios alongside a wide-reaching range of exhibitions, performances, and cultural events, THE BLANC creates a dynamic environment for interdisciplinary exchange. As the program continues to grow, THE BLANC will expand its studios to host additional members, further strengthening a long-term ecology for both emerging and established artists.
